This item can only be added to a package. It will not ship on its own

Pizza Pan Curing Procedure
When purchasing a brand new baking pan, it is necessary that you cure/season the pan before use. The seasoning process fills the valleys of the porous aluminized steel.

-First, the pan must be washed in hot soapy water to remove impurities. Use regular dish soap and a sponge to prevent scratching the surface of the pan. Let dry
-Coat the bottom of the pan with salt.
-Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees.
-Place pan in oven and bake 6 hours.
-Remove the pan from the oven and allow to cool.
-With repetitive use the pan will cure/darken over time.
-Hand washing is recommended to extend the pan life. Do not use scouring pads, steel wool or abrasive cleaners.
-Once dry, store pan upside down. Do not "nest" with other pans immediately after towel drying. Keep pans away from moist and humid storage environments. The best storage areas are dry, warm store areas or still-warm ovens.

Not worth buying

No instructions regarding if and how it should be "seasoned" so one would assume it doesn't need to be? No instructions as to whether pan needs to be lightly oiled like the throw-a-way pans that comes with pizzas need to be. Very misleading. Would not recommend purchasing as there is nothing other then the pan when it arrives. Tast of chicago dropped the ball on this one. A waste of almost $20. Save your money.

Great Pan
