I sent my grandson in Colorado a taste of home (Sweet Home, Chicago!) He was thrilled to get the package of pizzas including the new combo Portillo’s beef/sausage one. He said it was amazing! I added an order of boa buns and dumplings because he loves Asian food as well. He and his roommate loved every bite. It was a great gift for two young men on their own.
I received the undamaged box and when I opened I found a damaged pizza. I understand this is quality control issue and sometimes things slip by. I notified them right away and they credited me $25.00 and apologized for the inconvenience. As always the pizzas taste GREAT!
It is SO great to order Lou's pizza from Taste of Chicago! The pizzas are my best friend when it's dinner time and I don't have energy to prepare a meal. (Often!) Lou Malnatti pizzas are a delicious, satsfying, stand-alone way to have a great meal. Better than ANY frozen store pizzas. I just adore and look forward to a Lou-wow:yum:

Was delivered the wrong pizzas, but they made it right, right away! Great costumer service. Pizzas were good but did not live up to the hype. Pizzas were small and not a lot of beef on them!
We order 6 packs of deep dish at least monthly. All pizza selections are fantastic. But now they have gotten even better— Lou’s just created two new creations both based on Italian Beef based—with peppers and a second with hot gardenaira. Both are FANTASTIC and are now our favorites. Lou’s is the best pizza of all time.

I’ve ordered many pizzas and usually been very happy, but this time was just ok. I tried the new Italian Beef pizza - ordered 2 with giardiniera and 1 with sweet pepper but received 3 giardinera. Not a big deal… but when I cooked the first one, the taste wasn’t what I was hoping for. It’s Italian Beef pizza was not that good. I’ll order Lou’s again for sure… but sticking with the Sausage or Pepperoni. :+1:
We moved to CA from Chicago a few years ago and there is nothing like an authentic Lou Malnati's deep dish pizza to transport us back to Chicago. Thanks so much! Surprisingly, the spinach was the family favorite, even with our young boys.
