Our pizzas arrive on time and appeared to be well packaged. When we went to cook our first sausage pizza (the day it arrived) it had frost on top of it. When it cooked the crust got a bit soggy. We also cooked a pepperoni at the same time which was frost free and cook perfectly! Not sure what caused on to arrive with frost inside the packaging but it did interfere with the cooking and flavor.
we ordered in pizza for the return of walking dead, the pizza was good just not what we were all expecting, we did enjoy it just don't know if it's something we will have again.
Sent this as a Valentine's Day gift for my son and daughter-in-law who live in Connecticut who miss real deep dish pizza. They loved it!
Unfortunately, my second order was not delivered to my son in Texas, because of weather conditions on our end in IL and later in TX. I finally called a rep at lou Malnatis because we thought the package should have been delivered two days ago according to the first email from LM. The rep said, I don't think delivery is going to happen as planned after the second attempt because ups was having trouble delivering due to the ice storms in the south. Most likely the pizzas were no longer any good,because they were still in transit?? She suggested I try to re order and hope UPS could deliver the pizzas in a few days ,get a refund, or send a gift card. Yes, the weather was a factor in delivery, OK, no problem, and I haven't experienced any problems with past orders, but I was very disappointed in the lack of notification the second time around when UPS failed to deliver, and why someone didn't contact me via email/phone to provide other options. So, you mean to tell me that the pizza's were going to be delivered anyway, even though they were no longer any good because of the longer time in transit? Was someone going to let me know this if I didn't call? I told my son to stop looking out for a package, and I would send him something else for his birthday. Poor communication/concern by LM customer service.
Malnati's Pizza in Florida is just AWESOME! I ordered them last minute and thank goodness I had enough time to get them for dinner with friends for their first time!
