Portillo's Italian Beef Kit & 2 Lou's Pizzas

I loved being able to combine Lou's with Portillo's! It was the perfect gift for my Mom in Florida, who misses all of her favorite Chicago foods!

All three presents were outstanding in packaging,and quality and taste.. The Floridians said they arrived well packaged and totally frozen. I’ve spent over $3000 a year for the past three years purchasing taste of Chicago for my employees. Each year the customer service gets worse and worse. 2022 was no exception. There is no one there to help you, no one you could call and no response when you send emails. We had a problem where our entire address book was erased from our account from previous years. This will be the last year that I will be purchasing from taste of Chicago.

I was able to take advantage of the 20% off coupon and choose the day of delivery. Everything arrived on the correct day and in great shape. Our gift recipients loved everything.

My family loves receiving this food for the holidays, but I think it’s becoming overpriced. The portions could be larger for the prices paid.

Have been away from “home” - aka Chicago - for almost 20 years and decided to do something different for Christmas dinner. I ordered the Portillo’s Italian Beef Kit & 2 Lou’s Pizzas for the occasion. It could not have been better ! People who had not ever had either couldn’t believe how delicious it was and those of us who had reveled in the memories it brought back. Will definitely be ordering again and not just at Christmas time.

Wow! Blown away at the quality of the pizzas and Italian beef kit. I live in North Carolina and everything arrive still frozen. I followed the online instructions and it was all delicious! You’ve earned a customer and I will definitely try other items that you offer.

I have been looking at the Italian Beef for a few years now and this Christmas I pulled the trigger on it. I just finished the fourth sandwich from it and it was very good. I added a little bit of provolone to it which I’d recommend. The au jus gravy was so tasty I saved it after making the sandwiches. I heated it up to a boil, stirred in a cold water and cornstarch mixture and lowered the hear. Good on noodles. I think it was 1/3 cup cold water and 3 Tablespoons cornstarch stirred up until dissolved. I sent several kits out to family and they all seem to be happy with it. Ohh and if you put the dry ice in the kitchen sink, use a hot water bath to get the best fog effect.
