Delivery was a little late due weather but that worked well as Mike had a long day. Pizzas arrived 15 minutes after Mike walked in and went straight to the oven. We all grew up together in the Detroit burbs and have enjoyed good Italian food in the past. Lous is my favorite deep dish and now you have 2 new fans in Tucson...got a call back from Mike and Karla....oh wow are those ever good!!!
Pepperoni / Spinach Pizzas
2 Deep Dish Pizza. Was in Chicago for 6 months last year and got spoiled on Lou's deep dish. Was so happy to find it on line. Not as good as a fresh pan at the table...but better than any I can get back home. Will definitely reorder again and again.....
Winter storms prevented the pizzas from arriving as advertised, but YOU went out of your way to make it right and re-sent the pizzas, as they were not frozen when delivered. Thank you. My California family loves getting surprises from this Chicago mother. They loved the pizzas.
My brother resides in Colorado and when he comes to Chicago, we ALWAYS get Lou's for one of the nights he and his family are here. We keep in touch regularly. He told me that they were expecting a big snow storm on a Thursday and I told him to hunker down and enjoy it. I didn't tell him that I was sending out some, Lou To GO's to sustain him and his bride of 34 years. When I received the E-mail notice that the package had been delivered on Thursday morning, I told him to wake up and grab his dinner before the bears do! He did and they were very grateful for the taste of home! Cheese Pizza rates an excellent in taste and texture, however, we felt the size was smaller than what we had expected from the price.
Pizza was bland. The crust tasted like flour and water. Then it was topped with cheese and canned, crushed tomatoes. Very boring and unimpressive.
