This Portillo's Italian Beef Kit is packed with:

This sandwich kit makes 16 half sandwiches

  • 2.5 lbs (1 bag) of Portillo's famous Italian beef
  • 2 (1-qt bags) of Portillo's signature gravy
  • French bread rolls (16)
  • Oven roasted sweet peppers (8 oz bag)
  • Hot giardiniera (16 oz jar)

Stove top heating instructions for Portillo's Italian Beef:
• Place entire contents of gravy packets in large sauce pan.
• Heat until it reaches 180°.DO NOT BOIL. This takes about 20 minutes.
• Open Italian beef pack and separate beef slices. This creates a more flavorful and tender beef sandwich.
• Add enough Italian beef slices for 2-3 sandwiches at a time and heat for about 1 minute. Add beef in small increments as needed.
• Take temperature of gravy while heating Italian beef. The temperature should stay between 165° and 180° for best results.


French Bread:
• Place rolls on cookie pan 2" apart and bake at 450° for 5 minutes.

Microwave heating instructions for Portillo's Italian Beef:
• Place entire contents of gravy bucket in microwave safe bowl and heat for 5 minutes. This includes any solids or spices.
• Stir contents and then heat for another 4 minutes while separating the Italian beef slices. The temperature should be 180°. DO NOT BOIL.
• Take bowl out of microwave and add enough beef for 2-3 sandwiches and stir in for about a minute. Take temperature as you add beef.
• If the temperature falls below 165° remove beef, return to microwave and reheat for 2 minutes.
Food Safety Caution: The beef and gravy in this package must be at 40° or colder upon receiving it.

    A man with a Beef!

    I live in Alabama now but lived in the suburbs near O'Hare airport so I know how good the beef is, don't have know beef like that in Alabama so I ordered the beef kit.

    Customer service is amazing

    There was a delay in shipping and I was contacted by the concierge before I even knew if the package would be edible or not. The customer service was so good that I placed another order the following week. Having my kids live away from Chicago is hard enough, but at least I can send them some of their favorites

    Italian Beef - :yum:

    We originally received a gift package for Christmas that had this Italian Beef dinner included. We also have a dear friend that is from Chicago, so we invited them to dinner!! WOW! He went crazy, he was so excited because it had been a while since he'd had this meal and we absolutely loved it too! Needless to say, I will continue ordering this DELICIOUS meal kit, it is soooooo good!!! :+1::+1::+1:
