It all started in 1971
On March 17, 1971, Lou Malnati and his wife Jean opened their first pizzeria in Lincolnwood, Illinois. From the very beginning, Lou set out to build his restaurant as a model of hospitality and a place dedicated to family. They faced challenges, but their resilience allowed them to succeed and be known as Chicago’s oldest family name in Chicago style deep dish pizza.
Today, more than five decades later, Lou Malnati’s has grown far beyond its single Chicago area location.
